Fullerton Wines explores the rich and varied AVAs of Oregon by expressing the distinct personality of each vineyard and vintage in the bottle. Started in the Fullerton family garage in 2011, the winery is a deeply personal family collaboration. Before moving to Oregon from Denmark in 1997 the family already had a big love for wine, but had no idea that they were moving to a world class wine region. Growing up driving to Burgundy and Bordeaux on family vacations with his parents Eric and Susanne, Alex Fullerton was always very interested in learning more about grape growing and winemaking. He got a job at Penner-Ash Wine Cellars as he was graduating with an Economics degree, and ended up falling completely in love with the wine world. After working for a number of Oregon’s best producers as well as a stint in New Zealand, Alex, Eric, and Susanne decided to start their own winery in 2012, on the condition that Alex would go back to school to study Viticulture and Enology at Oregon State University. In the early days they rented space at a winery in Portland, but when they outgrew that winery they ended up finding their dream space in Corvallis. They now produce 8000 cases of their own wine under the Fullerton and Three Otters labels, as well as a few thousand cases for clients. Focusing on Willamette Valley Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, they also offer smaller amounts of various other varieties from Sauvignon Blanc Orange Wine to Cabernet Sauvignon.
