In the 1980s, Adelsheim Vineyard implemented a process of estimating grape harvests based on research from Steve Price in the College of Agricultural Sciences. This process is now used in vineyards worldwide to regulate the amount of grapes expected in each harvest. Alex Nichols, who works in both the cellar and the tasting room, is a 2009 Oregon State graduate with a bachelor’s degree in enology and viticulture. Office manager Kim Bellingar is a 2007 graduate with degrees in biology and animal science and remains in connection with the College of Agricultural Sciences.
