Mark Martin and Laura Bryngelson, owners and founders of Calapooia Brewing Co. are both Oregon State University graduates.  Although neither earned a degree in fermentation science, Mark has used the program's research to develop Calapooia's recipes, and Laura uses her English degree daily in marketing materials, including all the beers'  labels.  As an award-winning Brewmaster, Mark considers Oregon State’s hop research farm to be a rich resource that helps him see changes in the industry. If Oregon State cultivates a new hop variety, Mark is there to learn how he can incorporate new locally grown hops into his beers.
