Trademark Licensing builds brand awareness and protects the use of Oregon State University’s name and logos. We work with the retail market on licensed apparel, home products, jewelry, office supplies, sporting goods and other merchandise. We also help student organizations, academic, administrative and research units identify, design and order branded items for events and promotions.
You support Beaver Nation when you buy officially licensed Oregon State products.
Individuals, organizations and corporations are required to obtain approval before using the university’s name or logos. A trademark license grants authorization to produce commercial goods or services bearing Oregon State’s trademarks. This license must be in place before the marks are used.
OSU has partnered with CLC, a collegiate licensing agency, to help administer and manage licensing rights. Applicants must apply for a license for Oregon State through CLC. If an application is approved, rights will be granted for a specific product category and distribution channel.
