A Celebration!

On May 11, 2011, the Native American students of Oregon State University, President Edward J. Ray and the OSU community celebrated the transition from the Native American Longhouse established in 1972 to the Native American Cultural Center to be built in the coming year.  The groundbreaking allowed everyone to pay tribute to the space that has served the Native American Students of OSU well as they prepare for their new home.

In conjunction with the groundbreaking ceremony, several other activities took place throughout the week including the annual Salmon bake, Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) Initiative - view flier, and a Pow Wow
